Welcome Everybody!
We're very excited to announce this upcoming community event that we're planning. Apple Fest is going to be a simple and fun community event for all ages celebrating apples and the autumn harvest season! Let's celebrate our abundance, creativity, taste buds, and each other. This is going to be a fun experiment and we hope to continue it and other fun things in the years to come.
The event is will take place on Sunday, October 10th in Portland, Oregon at SE 9th & Sherrett, the intersection know as SHARE-IT SQUARE. The event will be in two parts. In the morning we will have an assortment of hands-on social culinary and horticultural WORKSHOPS that anyone is welcome to participate in. Have an apple oriented workshop idea? In the afternoon is when all the FESTIVITIES will happen. We're planning for all sorts of wacky, tasty, and fun apple things to do. Art projects, baked goods, party games, and old fashioned arcade booths are only what we've begun to imagine! If you have an idea for a fun appley activity that you'd like to coordinate or if you'd like to help out with one already listed, then let us know and we'll make it so! This is a small community event being put on by a couple of your neighbors in our spare time. We're gonna make it rock, but with your help it could be even better! There are many ways to HELP OUT and you can also support the project by donating and being SPONSOR.
